Charles E. Polhemus

Charles E. Polhemus, age 67, of Garrison, NY died on Sunday October 13, 2002 at Westchester Medical Center Valhalla, NY.

Born in Cold Spring, NY, February 17, 1935, he was the son of Marcia (Ferguson) Polhemus of Garrison, NY and the late Edgar B. Polhemus.

Mr. Polhemus was the President of Polhemus Construction Co., Inc. in Garrison, NY. A lifelong resident of the Garrison area, he was a member of the Philipstown Lodge #236 F. & A. M., a member of the Board of Directors of the Garrison Fish and Game Club, a member of the Board of Directors of the Catfish Pond Asso., and a member of the Garrison Yacht Club.

He is survived by his wife Margaret (Donohue) Polhemus of the home address, and four children, Charles E. Polhemus II of Gloster, VA, Margaret Chindano of Nanuet, NY, Joseph Chindano of Bullville, NY and John Chindano of Garrison, NY. Also surviving are one brother, Edgar Polhemus, Jr. of Garrison, NY, and four grandchildren, Amber Polhemus, Brittany Polhemus, Devon Chindano and Joseph Chindano.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Philip’s Church Garrison, NY on Thursday, October 17, 2002 at 10am. Interment will follow in Cold Spring Cemetery. Friends may call at The Clinton Funeral Home Cor. of Parrott and Pine St. Cold Spring, NY on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
