Walter T. Kane

Walter T. Kane, of Cold Spring, NY and longtime resident of North Tarrytown (Sleepy Hollow), passed away on Nov. 7, 2002. He was 79.

Mr. Kane was born on March 6, 1923 to John and Delia Tully Kane in the Bronx, NY. He was a graduate of Fordham Prep and New York University School of Engineering. Walter was a mechanical engineer and president/owner of Air-Pak Products. He was past president of North Tarrytown/Tarrytown Kiwanis, member of ASHRAE, former chairmen of the Republican Party in North Tarrytown, the district leader of Philipstown Republican Party, longtime member of Eastern Trades Golf Association and a member of the American Merchant Marine Association.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Florence, his beloved children-daughters Elizabeth Blanc of Paris, France and Deborah of San Francisco, CA and sons Gregory of Somers and Michael of Cortland, NY as well as 7 grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, November 12, 2002 at the St. Teresa of Avila Church in Sleepy Hollow. Interment followed at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Building Fund for Our Lady of Lorretto Church in Cold Spring.

Arrangements were made by the Coffey Funeral Home in Tarrytown.
