David M. Scuccimarra

David Scuccimarra, 80, of Arnold, MD died March 8, 2003 at his home after a lengthy illness.

Born October 7, 1922 in Manhattan, NY and raised in Pelham Bay, Bronx, NY, Mr. Scuccimarra lived in Brewster, NY for 45 years, and moved to Arnold in May 2002.

He served in the Army Air Corps. in Italy from 1942 – 1946. He worked for the A & P Tea Co. for 37 years and then for Brewster School for 10 years. Mr. Scuccimarra was a lifetime member and ex-captain of the Brewster Volunteer Fire Dept. He also was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion in Brewster.

Surviving are his wife, Aillayne M. Scuccimarra whom he married on June 16th, 1949; his children, Christine M. Clark of Arnold, MD; David J. Scuccimarra of Jessup; Jean Marie Joseph of Rockville; and Thomas Scuccimarra of Los Angeles, CA; a sister, Norma Dunn of Montagne, NJ; along with five grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial was offered at St. Andrews By The Bay Church. Burial was at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville. Memorial contributions may be made to Brewster Fire Department, 39 North Main St., Brewster, NY 10509.
