Putnam Valley Lacrosse Defeats Kennedy, North Rockland and Byram Hills

The now 9-6 PV Tigers won 3 out of their last 4 games, 2 of which were included in the Hen Hud tournament. On May 5th PV defeated Kennedy with a score of 14-12. Steve Ammann, Mike Kinsley, Rolando Miranda, and Jeff Paulo each scored 1 goal. Both Nick Strumke and Joey Morgan had 3 goals. Mike Ammann scored 4 goals. Goalie, A.J. Babnik had 5 decisive saves.

On Wednesday of that week PV defeated North Rockland 13-10. Steve Ammann had an amazing game scoring 8 goals and having 2 assists. Mike Kinsley, Joey Morgan, and Nick Strumke each had one goal. Jeff Paulo scored 2. A.J. Babnik played a terrific defensive game with 17 saves.

To head off the Hen Hud tournament the Tigers faced off against Hen Hud. They lost a tough game, with a 14-4 final score. Mike Ammann scored 3 of the teams 4 goals and Nick Strumke had the other. They each had one assist. In the second game PV faced Byram Hills. The Tigers came back from a tough loss and defeated Byram Hills 15-7. Mike Ammann scored 5 goals and had 3 assists. Steve Ammann had 3 goals and 4 assists. Nick Strumke and Mike Kinsley had 3 goals and Joey Morgan had 1. A.J. Babnik had an awesome game holding Byram Hills to only 7 goals with 24 saves. Congratulations to the Tigers on their 3rd place finish in the Hen Hud tournament.
