Winter Solstice Celebration Planned in Putnam Valley

The annual winter Solstice Sunrise Celebration taking place in a precisely aligned stone chamber will occur on Sunday, December 21. Celebrants can meet at the intersection of Peekskill Hollow Road and the Taconic Parkway at 6:30 am. Chamber decorations are welcome.

The group will visit a solstice sunrise chamber behind the other which is one of the largest such chambers in the Northeast and is fronted by a standing stone aligning it with the equinox.
