Jane E. Andrews

Jane Edith Freeborn Andrews, age 94, of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho and Cold Spring, New York died on Monday, Nov. 17, 2003 at the Kootenay Medical Center, Coeur d’ Alene, Id. Born in Fleischman, NY on September 26, 1909, she was the daughter of the late J. Franklin and Edith Maltby Freeborn. She was married to the late George R. Andrews. She is survived by two sons, Richard of Punta Gorda, Florida and John of Wallace, Idaho, six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Julia Rose "Judy" Gildersleeve.

Mrs. Andrews was a graduate of Syracuse University where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She was also a member of the American Association of University Women, the Walden and Cold Spring Historical Societies and the Cold Spring Garden Club. While living in Cold Spring, Mrs. Andrews was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church-in-the-Highlands where she was active in the Altar Guild and Ladies Club.

Services in Idaho will be private. A Memorial Service will take place at St. Mary’s Church- in-the Highlands at a later date. Burial will be in the Cold Spring Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Mary’s Church-in-the-Highlands, Main Street, Cold Spring, New York 10516.
