Walter Hopkins

Walter Hopkins age 84 of Philadelphia, PA died on Sunday Jan. 18, 2004 at his residence in Pennsylvania.

He was born on September 21, 1920 in Philadelphia, PA son of the late Joseph and Ella (Hayes) Hopkins.

Mr. Hopkins was a retired employee for Honeywell Electric in Fort Washington, PA where he had been an active member in the Industrial Baseball League. He had been a life long resident of Philadelphia. Mr. Hopkins was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving in China during WWII.

Mr. Hopkins was predeceased by his wife Ruth (Dalzell) Hopkins. Several nieces and nephews as well as several great nieces and nephews survive him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday January 23, 2004 at Our Lady of Loretto Church in Cold Spring at 11am. Friends and family are invited to call at the Clinton Funeral Home Corner of Parrott and Pine St. Cold Spring, NY on Friday from 9 to 10:30 am. Interment will follow in Cold Spring Cemetery in the spring.
