Elizabeth Helen Corish Dmytryszyn

Elizabeth Helen Corish Dmytryszyn of Cold Spring, died in Hudson Valley Hospital Center at the age of 43 on September 11, 2004.

Elizabeth, formerly of Hopewell Junction and Poughkeepsie, was born Elizabeth Helen Corish on January 23, 1961, daughter of Leroy and Barbara (Puff) Corish. After graduating from the Arlington Schools in 1979, she went on to Hartwick College in Oneonta and graduated in 1983 with a BS in Nursing. Elizabeth began her nursing career at St. Jude’s Children’s Hopital in Tennessee. She continued in her career as an Oncology Nurse and an Assistant Director of Nursing at Home Health Care, where she was employed for 13 years.

Elizabeth married John Dmytryszyn at Our Lady of Restoration in Cold Spring on June 16, 1991. She was a member of the congregation at Hopewell Reformed Church, where she was active in the choir.

Elizabeth Corish Dmytryszyn is survived by her husband John, daugther Nancy Manresa and her husband David of Wappingers Falls; son John J. Berlingieri and his wife Michele of Fishkill; daughter Doris Anderson and Peter Neff of Marlboro. She is also survived by grandchildren: Michael; Christa; David; Ricky; Angie; Maressa; Sara; Jenna; Katie; Derreck; Alec; Nicki; and, Terry, Jr. Others who survive are her brother Paul and his wife Cindy of Hopewell Junction, brother Michael of North Carolina, and sister-in-law Carol Cerone of Fishkill. Nieces and nephews are Melissa; Keith; Joseph; David; and, Sarah.

Funeral Services will be held at Hopewell Reformed Church on Beekman Road in Hopewell Junction on Thursday, September 16 at 11 am. Calling hours will be Wednesday, September 15 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Straub Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN.
