William F. Browning

William F. Browning, age 80, died Friday, October 14, 2004 at his home in Butler, PA. Browning had previously been a long-time resident of Cold Spring, NY.

Born on February 15, 1924 in Scottdale, he was the son of Frank and Ruth (Long) Browning. He was a crane operator and a member of Local 137 of the International Union of Operating Engineers, NY. Browning was a member of St. Andrews United Presbyterian Church. He also belonged to Philipstown Lodge 236 F&AM and the Valley of White Plains Consistory.

During World War II, William Browning served in Europe with the Army’s 71st Infantry Division.

A brother, Robert Browning, three nieces and two nephews survive. His wife, Lila M. Browning and two sister predeceased him.
