Garden Club and Chamber of Commerce Help to Beautify Cold Spring
On a crisp September morning, Mary Joy and Joan Crouch of the Highlands Garden Club revitalized barrel planters at the Cold Spring Dock and Bandstand and at the Chamber of Commerce mini plaza at the bottom of Main Street. Bursting beautiful mums from the Philipstown Market replaced weeds, and flowering bushes were transplanted by Jonathan Kruk and Kim Conner, to get ready for the coming rest station kiosk. Much-needed water for thirsty plants was kindly provided by Chamber member Tom Rolston of the Cold Spring Depot Restaurant.
