Marie Edna Hoose Herman

Marie Edna Hoose Herman died on Friday, January 21, 2005 at the age of 85. Mrs. Herman resided in Daytona Beach, FL.

Born on June 7, 1919 in Port Layden, NY, Edna moved from Fishkill to Daytona Beach in 2003. She was a dietician. Herman attended St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Cold Spring, was a member of the Order of the Easter Star, The Grange, 4H Club, Boy and Girl Scouts and the St. Mary’s Convent Association. She composed the Brownies Investiture song as well as several other pieces of music.

Edna Herman is survived by a son, William Edgar Reagan of Cambridge, NY, and two daughters, Anne Harrington of DeLand, FL and Carol DiMetro, Highland, NY. Seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive.
