Vernon C. Geberth

Vernon C. Geberth, age 89, of Cold Spring, NY died on Thursday, March 10, 2005 at Hudson Valley Hospital Center in Cortlandt Manor.

Born in Mount Vernon, NY on September 24, 1915, he was the son of the late Jacob and Louise Geberth.

Mr. Geberth was a retired Supreme Court officer for Westchester County having worked in White Plains. He has been a resident of the Cold Spring area since 1976, coming from Mount Vernon. He was a member of Hiawatha Lodge # 434 F. & A. M. formerly of Mt. Vernon presently of Tuckahoe. Geberth was a member and Past President of the Westchester County Police Square Club and a member of the Mount Vernon Volunteer Fire Department.

He was predeceased by his wife, Annamay (Cardillo) Geberth. She died in November of 2001. He is survived by three sons; Vernon J. Geberth of Stony Point NY, Lawrence C. Geberth of Elizaville NY, and Kevin Geberth of Yorktown Heights NY. One brother, William Geberth, of Cape Cod, MA, one sister, Laurraine Winsheimer of New Hampshire, eight grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services were on Sunday, March 13 at the Clinton Funeral Home, corner of Parrott and Pine Streets, Cold Spring, NY. Interment was be private.
