Beatrice (Lyons) Mancari age 87 of Cold Spring died on Thursday September 1, 2005 at Wingate at Dutchess in Fishkill.
Born in Verplank, NY on January 24, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Jessica (Lent) Burress.
Mrs. Mancari was a retired machine operator for the former Marathon Battery Co. in Cold Spring. She had been a resident of the Cold Spring area for the past 67 years coming from Verplank, a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in the Highlands in Cold Spring, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of James Harvey Hustis Post 2362 of the V. F. W., a member of the Philipstown senior citizens, and a member of the friendship center in Philipstown.
She was predeceased by her first husband Charles Lyons, and by her second husband Edward Mancari. Mrs. Mancari is survived by two sons, John Lyons of Gainesville, FL and Thomas Lyons of The Villages, FL. Four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive her. In addition to her husbands, she was predeceased by one son Charles Lyons and one daughter Joan Colbert, as well as two brothers, Oscar Burress, Jr. and Thomas Burress and by three sisters, Bertha MacIntyre, Edna Leverich and Gertrude Rigney.
Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, September 6, 2005 at St. Mary’s Church in the Highlands, Cold Spring. Interment followed in Cold Spring Cemetery.
