Loretta M. Vitanza

Loretta M. Vitanza, a long time Cold Spring resident, died at home on Sunday, November 13, 2005.

Born in Cliffside Park, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Adele (Konrad) DiGiaimo.

Loretta married her beloved husband, Joseph T. Vitanza, in April of 1951 at Our Lady of Loretto Church in Cold Spring, NY. Joseph predeceased her on January 18, 1995.

Mrs. Vitanza is survived by three sons; Joseph N. Vitanza of Cold Spring, Robert A. Vitanza of Hyde Park, NY, and David G. Vitanza of Cold Spring, and two daughters; Loriann Merrigan of Cold Spring, and Joann Bagala of Wappinger Falls. Two brothers, Nicholas DiGiaimo of Fishkill, NY, and Godfrey DiGiaimo of Florida, one sister, Rose Morrone of Florida, twelve grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren also survive Mrs. Vitanza.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10am on Thursday, November 17, 2005, at Our Lady of Loretto Church, Fair Street, Cold Spring. Interment will follow at Cold Spring Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday, November 16, from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Clinton Funeral Home, Corner of Parrott and Pine Streets, Cold Spring.
