PVES Continues Tradition with Pumpkins, Pizza and Family Fun

| On Friday, October 28th, Putnam Valley Elementary School’s youngest students celebrated their fourth annual Kindergarten Pumpkin Patch party. For one low family fee, and one pumpkin, which the students brought to the party, students and their families were welcome to pizza, beverages, desserts and decorations for the pumpkins. Pumpkins were decorated with vegetables, raisins, mini marshmallows, and other food items, attached with toothpicks.
This year’s event continued the “standing room only” tradition of the last three parties, with over 200 people in attendance. After families shared pizza and dessert, the PVES kindergarten teachers Ms. Siegel, Mrs. Hernandez, Mrs. Hebeisen, and Mrs. Falloon and two Putnam Valley Board of Education Trustees, Guy Cohen and Mary Maus, read the children a “bedtime story” while the parents enjoyed a quiet cup of coffee.
