Cold Spring Fire Co. and Police Department Present NYS Boaters Safety Course

The Cold Spring Fire Company in cooperation with the Cold Spring Police Department will present a New York State Boaters Safety Course open to Young Adults, 10 to 17 years old and all Adults on Saturday November 12, 2005 from 8 am to 4 pm.

The course is offered at no cost to the participants as a community service. Adults, only, will be required to pay a $10 registration fee to the New York State Department of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation upon successful completion of the course.

The Safe Boaters Course is required for Young Adults (10 to 17) to operate a motorized boat in New York State. The Course is also required for Young Adults and Adults to operate a Personal Water Craft (Jet Ski). Pre-registration is required with the class size is limited to a maximum of thirty students.

Contact the Cold Spring Police Department at 845-2653407 and leave a message for Bill Bujarski with the name and telephone number of the person wanting to attend the course. All attendees will receive a course booklet and will be required to bring a pen or pencils that day. At the end of the presentation, a written test will be administered with the results forwarded to NYS PR&HP.
