Annual Cold Spring/Garrison Chamber of Commerce Holiday Party Was a Grand Affair

Set against the backdrop of candlelight and glowing fireplaces, the annual Cold Spring/ Garrison Chamber of Commerce Holiday Party was an elegant, grand affair.

With more than 90 local business owners and area residents in attendance, the party, held at the Highlands Country Club in Garrison, featured music, dancing, a full dinner buffet, and a silent auction.

And more than just a holiday mixer, the annual event also featured the Chamber’s new board member elections. The chamber is proud to announce that Michelle Folster of Stationery Objects, Hudson River Navigator Vinny Tamagna, and Sam Slinskey of Excaliber Enterprises were all re-elected to the board and Nat Prentice of M&T Bank filled a vacant board seat. In recent weeks, the board also added Rand Bridget Otten, director of development at PARC, and attorney Camille Linson as its newest members. Appreciation to Jordan Dale and James Thomashower for acting as the election officials and tallying all the votes.

Kicking off at 6 pm, the party went until after 10 pm. The highlights of the evening included the wonderful silent auction, organized by Camille Linson, which raised nearly $3,000 to support future Chamber programs and events. And congratulations to civic member James Thomashower who won the night’s 50/50 raffle, taking home $175.

The board acknowledged all of the party guests for making the event fun and successful, Robbyn Scuillo of the Garrison and the Highlands Country Club staff for attending to the catering menu and the event details, and to all the folks for their behind-the-scenes aspect of the night. This was a night not to be missed and we look forward to seeing Chamber members and prospective new members and business leaders at our many events and meetings in 2006.
