Rosemary Irene Tompkins
Rosemary Irene Tompkins died on December 6, 2005 at her residence in St. Augustine, FL. She was 75. Born on December 23, 1929 in Elmhurst, NY she was the daughter of the late William and Julia (Meyer) Horning.
Mrs. Tompkins was a senior typist for Putnam County Social Services, retiring in 1991. A long time Putnam Valley resident, she and her husband George P. Tompkins retired to Whitehall, NY and finally to St. Augustine, FL in 2002. Survivors include her husband of the home address. One daughter Anne Jacob of St. Augustine, FL. One son George P. Tompkins and his wife Catherine. One brother William Horning of Port Richey, FL. Three grandchildren Ellen, Katie, and Ryan also survive.
A mass of Christian Burial was offered on December 9, 2005 at Our Lady of Loretto Church, Cold Spring. Burial followed in Cold Spring Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clinton Funeral Home, Cold Spring, NY.
