Kenneth Vroom Anderson

Born in Melrose, Massachusetts on December 27, 1913, Kenneth Anderson was a resident of Garrison for over 50 years. He loved his family and enjoyed his many friends. His passions were music, gardening, birds and real people. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Helen Edgerton Anderson of Garrison,and their four children. Erik and Leslie Anderson of Pittsford, NY, and their children, Kimberly James and David; Lars Anderson of Manhattan; Dean and Katherine Anderson of Garrison and their children Micah and August; Kristin Schroder of Phonecia, NY, and her son Hans Kristopher.

Anderson had an interesting career that included working as a machinist on the first jet engine manufactured in the U.S. and working to help electrify the growing farms of rural Vermont. He was a farmer at heart.

Kenneth Anderson will be missed by family and friends.

A memorial service was held at St. Philip’s Church in Garrison on December 6th.
