Mary F. Wilbur

Mary F. Wilbur, 86 of Cold Spring , NY died on Saturday January 28, 2006 at her residence.

She was born on August 8, 1919 in Sharon, CT the daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Loughlin) Flanigan.

She was a graduate of Amenia High School in 1937. Mrs. Wilbur had been a resident of Cold Spring for the past 19 years, previously residing in Huntington, NY where she was devoted to her late husband’s medical practice.

In 1942 she married Dr. Daniel Webster Wilbur of Rhinebeck, NY. He predeceased her in 1983.

Her greatest joy was raising a family of seven children. Survivors include her children, Daniel W. Wilbur IV (Pat), William Wilbur, Mary Jane Lackey, Sarah Sprayregen, Robert Wilbur (Dolores), Kathryn Wilbur and Peter Wilbur (Diane). Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Additionally she is survived by her brother, Robert Flanigan, a sister Betty Briggs (Ted) and four cousins.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Mickey Karn and Katherine Flanigan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday February 1, 2006 at 11 am at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Rhinebeck, NY with the Rev. Jeffrey Galens, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Rhinebeck Cemetery .

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care, Westchester and Putnam Counties, 100 South Bedford Rd., Mt. Kisco, NY.
