Raymond P. Valentine

Raymond P. Valentine, a life long Cold Spring resident died on February 8, 2006 at Field Home – Holy Comforter, Yorktown. He was 88. Born in Cold Spring on January 22, 1918 he was the son of the Late Thomas and Filomena (Talarico) Valentine.

Mr. Valentine was a retired Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service in Cold Spring. A parishioner of Our Lady Of Loretto Church in Cold Spring and a life member of the Cold Spring Fire Company.

Survivors include his wife Ruth (Betty) Mooney Valentine of the home address.

Two sons Raymond A. (Danielle) Valentine and Daniel J. (Carol) Valentine both of Cold Spring. Two daughters Janice R. (Jack) Villetto of Garrison and Elizabeth A. (Dr. John) Majors of Waldron, AR. Seven grandchildren, Danny Valentine, Cory (Jaime) Valentine, Jeremy (Veronica) Valentine, Jackie Villetto, Joseph Majors, Amy Majors, Jillian Valentine also survive.

A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Our Lady of Loretto Church, Cold Spring on Saturday, February 11, 2006. Interment followed in Cold Spring Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Cold Spring Fire Co. or the Philipstown Volunteer Ambulance Corp. in memory of Mr. Valentine.
