Do You Remember?
Pictured above from left to right, Paul, "Fittie" Lyons, Mike Barcevic, Nick Barcevic, Steve Milkovich and Nate Lyons. Nate drove the "boys" over to Constitution Island on the ice, which was 2 feet thick on the Hudson River to collect firewood for Cold Spring fireplaces in 1936. This was long before the ice cutters plied the Hudson to keep the channel clear of ice for shipping. Picture was supplied to the PCN&R by Harriet Hustis of Nelsonville.
