Julia (D'Agostino) Mattessino

Julia (D'Agostino) Mattessino, age 79, passed away on July 15, 2006 at her residence in Howell, NJ.

Julia was born in Newark, NJ. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Dominick Mattessino. She was a member of the Quilting Club at Butterfield Library. She enjoyed arts & crafts and crocheting.

She is also survived by her daughters, Virginia Welsh of Brick, NJ, and Angelina Duschaneck of Howell, NJ, sons Joseph Mattessino of Manchester, NJ and Vincent Mattessino of Cold Spring. She has 7 grandchildren, Linda, Michael, Vincent, Christina, Jillian, Daniel and William and 4 great-grandchildren, Dominque, J.P., Austin and Kaitlyn.

Two brothers also survive, Mark Rubeo of Thornwood, NY and Louis D'Agostino of Montauk, NY. She is predeceased by 2 brothers, Anthony and Dominick D'Agostino and one sister, Catherine Della.

A memorial gathering and funeral mass will take place this week. Call Weatherhead Young Funeral Home, 885 Mantoloking Rd., Brick, NJ, 732-920-1811 for dates and times. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in her memory to the City of St. Jude, 2048 Fairview Ave., Montgomery, AL. 36108 and/or Meridian Hospice, 4900 Route 33, Suite 200, Neptune, NJ 07753.
