SeniorNet Provides Free Informational Seminar

Mahopac SeniorNet class in computers
The William Koehler Memorial Senior Center's SeniorNet will be conducting a free seminar for the public on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 from 9 am to 11:45 am. The Center is located at 180 Route Six, Mahopac. This is an opportunity for local senior citizens to find out about this SeniorNet group and to hear about future courses to be given and their prospective dates. The mission of this group is to provide education and access to computer technology and to enhance the lives of seniors, enabling them to share their knowledge and wisdom and to get into "the information age."

Putnam County seniors are invited to this program, not only to learn of the different courses offered, but attendees will have the opportunity at the "break" to informally talk with the RSVP member volunteers while enjoying the refreshments. Some seniors may be looking for a new direction for their energies during their retirement years and this seminar could give them the opportunity to join the RSVP volunteers in sharing their computer knowledge and inspiring other seniors. The volunteers all have had wonderful experiences in this teaching, and their pleasure in sharing their knowledge will be obvious to attendees. For more information regarding this seminar, call 845-628-6423 or visit the Mahopac SeniorNet website at www.MahopacSeniorNet.org.
