Guest Speaker to Focus on Animal Welfare at DesmondFish Library

On Sunday, March 26th, at 2 pm, two short videos, one of the 2004 Seal Hunt, the other of the 2005 Seal Hunt, will be shown in the downstairs Program Room of the DesmondFish Library, Route 403 and 9D, in Garrison.

Lawrence Carter-Long, of In Defense of Animals, will be the guest speaker who will answer questions about the seal hunt or any animal welfare question. A longtime animal advocate, Lawrence coordinated communications for the Animal Protection Institute, authored columns for Animals' Agenda Magazine and continues his work on behalf of animals today as an issues specialist for In Defense of Animals and an advisor to NYC's League of Humane Voters, http:// www.humanenyc.org.
