SeniorNet Offers Computer Workshops

It's time to sign up for Mahopac Koehler Center free computer workshops and July to December computer courses.

There are still a few openings for these free upcoming SeniorNet Computer Workshops as well as July through December classes. Anyone interested in these one-session workshops should call the phone number below. The single-session workshops are entitled: Keyboard Class Genealogy Buying a Computer

SeniorNet is also offering four and eight session courses which will be held during July through December. There are some openings available for these classes and registration for the courses at the William Koehler Center in Mahopac is available. Courses to be given are: Computer Basics

There are only six students with three coaches in all SeniorNet classes, and an instructor. Students receive course manuals as well as a "Course Files CD." Classes are specifically designed for adults 55 and older.

Since 1986 SeniorNet has educated over a million older adults about computers and the Internet. The William Koehler Office for the Aging Senior Center's SeniorNet in Mahopac, is managed primarily by senior volunteers, and classes are taught and coached by volunteer instructors. Extra practice sessions are available for those who need it with help from a SeniorNet volunteer. Classes are non-threatening and geared to the individual senior.
