The Alpha Omicron Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International recently elected new board members for the 2006-2008 year's term.
This is a group of local Putnam County and Upper Westchester active and retired teachers who are part of a world-wide group of women educators who are united in their ideals of stimulating personal and professional growth and advancing professionalism. This local group awards a yearly Grant-in-Aid to a local high school senior who plans to pursue a career in education. Membership in Delta Kappa Gamma is by invitation, and members are chosen by leadership ability and professional success. New York State has seventy-five chapters with over 4,000 members representing all levels and disciplines of education.
