Annual Putnam Valley School District Wall Calendar to be Distributed

The Putnam Valley Central School District (PVCSD) is completing production on its annual calendar for the 200607 school year, and will begin mail distribution in midto late August. This will be the fifth district wall calendar that PVCSD has produced.

The 2006-07 calendar expands on the new design theme explored in the 200506 calendar. While the first three calendars included multiple photographs of students, teachers, administrators, and other community members at various district events, the new calendar is again entirely devoted to student visual artwork. All of this year's artwork was created by students in grades K through 4 and 9 through 12 at Putnam Valley Elementary and Putnam Valley High School, and the selections were made by the school's art teachers.

In addition to a comprehensive month-by-month listing of school meetings, events, holidays, and major test dates, the calendars contain other valuable information, such as complete lists of District and Building Personnel, PTA and PTSA Executive Board rosters for 2006-07, special education information, emergency evacuation procedures, bus policies, and much more.

The PVCSD calendar is designed internally and produced by the BOCES print shop in Yorktown Heights. Calendars are mailed to all families with children in the district. Limited additional copies will be available at the PVCSD District Office, the main offices of the three school buildings in Putnam Valley, The Putnam Valley Library, Putnam Valley Town Hall, and the PV Parks and Recreation Annex.
