Hudson River Foundation Accepting Applications for River Improvement Projects
The Hudson River Improvement Fund of the Hudson River Foundation will accept applications for its fall 2006 funding cycle. The deadline for application is Monday, October 23, 2006. The Hudson River Improvement Fund supports projects that stress the enhancement of, public use and enjoyment of the natural, scenic, and cultural resources of the Hudson River and its shores. The Fund places particular emphasis on physical projects involving capital construction or improvement. Examples of projects that will be considered for funding include those designed to develop or improve facilities that increase public access-physical or visual-to the Hudson River, develop or improve educational facilities suitable for Hudson River education programs, or repair, restore or create habitat. Applicants must be municipalities or non-profit organizations with 501(c)(3) status.
