The Putnam County Office for the Aging SeniorNet Computer Class Registration Dates Announced

Reviewing the instruction manual at Mahopac SeniorNet for students are Rita McGuire and Judy Dolfiwith instructor Terry Clifford
Dates for Registration for the January through June SeniorNet courses that will be given at both the Mahopac (Koehler Office for the Aging) Senior Center and the Putnam Valley SeniorNet Center have been announced. The registration for the Mahopac Koehler Office for Aging SeniorNet will be on November 1 and 2, 2006, from 9:30am-12:30pm. The registration for the Putnam Valley SeniorNet Center will be on November 15, from 9:30am to 1:30pm. The courses will run from January through June 2007 and will be offered at both centers. Free Workshop/Seminars will be offered at the Koehler SeniorNet Center.

Courses to be offered will be: Computer Fundamentals (for the novice), Introduction To Word Processing, Intermediate Word Processing, Advanced Word Processing, and a new course, Graphics Fun With

Microsoft Word. Also offered will be internet and email basics, advanced internet and email, customizing Windows XP and Windows File Management.

Specialized courses will be Family Tree Maker, Quicken, Adobe Photoshop Elements, Lifebio, Digital Camera and Photography.

Some of the advanced classes have prerequisites or need prior computer experience. Classes each have an instructor, three coaches and only six students, allowing individualized help.
