Hudson Valley Hospital Center Receives $500,000 Grant for Planned Cancer Care Center
The administration of Hudson Valley Hospital Center conducted a brief press conference on Thursday, September 28 in the main lobby announcing Senator Vincent Leibell's $500,000 grant to benefit the planned comprehensive cancer care center. "Ninety percent of all cancer care is outpatient-based and current data reflects that there is an urgent need for this service.
Currently, cancer patients in our service area have to drive approximately 30 minutes to access care," states John C. Federspiel, hospital president. "Through the Senator's efforts, we will lower the stress level of our cancer patients and enhance the overall experience with on-going, quality, and consistent care without the worry about logistics and travel."
