At a recent ceremony held at Putnam Hospital Center, New York State Senator Vincent Leibell presented the Carmel hospital with $500,000 for capital funding. The $500,000 Senator Majority Initiative is directed toward the hospital's new building project which includes a five-story 113,000 square foot patient tower to house PHC's new cancer center including radiation therapy, enhanced cardiac services, a hospital/ community use conference

center, and private patient rooms as well as for the renovation of 20,000 square feet of existing space in the hospital and the creation of a significant increase in parking spaces. Shown above holding a ceremonial check are, from left to right, Adil M.
