What is Sue Kelly Afraid Of? To the Editor:
What is Congresswoman Sue Kelly afraid of? I know it's probably a long list (her relationship to Mark Foley, her role in cutting health care and veterans benefits, her support of the disastrous Iraq war, her vote to drill in the Alaskan National Wildlife Reserve, etc. etc.), but the fact is, Sue's fears shouldn't stop her from accepting John Hall's invitation to have multiple debates open to the public. As of this writing, with less than a month to go before the election, Sue Kelly has agreed to only ONE public debate, in Orange County.
Sorry, Sue, that's not good enough. If anything, you, as our elected representative, should be the one making every effort to let the public hear you make your case for reelection, live and in person.
How can I, or any voter support a woman who's afraid to get up in front of her constituents and speak her mind?
We need public debates, Sue. John Hall's on board. When will you be brave enough to join him?
