Assessor Not Charging Real Property Taxation
Editor:

My name is Vincent Terio, and am a resident of Cold Spring for 48 years and this letter is written at a moment of great concern in that the Philipstown Assessor is not charging real property taxation for said years 2004 through 2006. Although such Real Property is not exempt property.

I wish to inform the Philipstown taxpayers' that as long as property is not exempt from taxation property tax generally, tax imposed by municipalities upon owners of property within their jurisdiction in which simply means all. Philipstown taxpayers.

I am not trying to avoid the real property taxes, but only to buy my fair share of such taxation, and until the assessor enter Mr. Terio's vacant land on the Philipstown Assessment Tax Rolls. Mr. Terio's said vacant land will not be subject to such taxation.

It would appear that the assessor is discriminating the unequal treatment of parties who are similarly situated, in violation of the civil rights.
