Ann C. McGrath

Ann C. McGrath, age 70, of Cold Spring, died on Friday, October 13, 2006 at Hudson Valley Hospital Center in Cortlandt Manor.

Born March 27, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late James F. and Caroline P. (Johnson) Cone.

Mrs. McGrath, a former member of Catholic Daughters, was a parishioner of Our Lady of Loretto Church in Cold Spring.

She is survived by her husband, Donald J. McGrath of the home address. They were married on November 17, 1956 at Our Lady of Loretto Church. She is also survived by one son, Dr. Thomas and Ann (Meyers) McGrath, five daughters, Ann (McGrath) and Ethan Gallagher of Cold Spring, Irene (McGrath) and Stephen Schweikhart of Cold Spring, Patricia McGrath of Wappinger Falls, Christine McGrath of Wappinger Falls, and Susan (McGrath) Battaglia of Cold Spring, one brother, Dr. James F. and Sally Cone of Napanoch, NY, and one sister, Kathleen (Cone) and John Hopper of Fishkill, NY.

Nine grandchildren, Caitlin and Christine McGrath, Noah, Ian, and Aidan Gallagher, Caroline and Evan Schweikhart, Kenneth Trimble, and Kasey Battaglia also survive. One brother, R. Lambert Cone, and one sister, Carolyn A. Cone, predeceased her.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, October 16 at Our Lady of Loretto Church, 24 Fair Street, Cold Spring. Services were arranged through the Clinton Funeral Home, Cold Spring.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in Mrs. McGrath's name to The American Cancer Society, Putnam County Unit, 220 Rte 6, Mahopac, NY 10541, for whom she volunteered for many years.
