George D. Kearsey

George D. Kearsey, age 76, of Wappingers Falls, formerly of Cold Spring, died on Saturday October 14, 2006 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born on March 5, 1930 in Haverstraw, NY, he was the son of the late Thomas and Wilhemina (Glassing) Kearsey.

Mr. Kearsey was the devoted husband of Nena (Nastasi) Kearsey, whom he married 46 years ago. He was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Fishkill, a US Army Veteran, having served in Korea, and a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He worked as a bookkeeper for Consolidated Edison in Buchanan.

Survivors include his wife of the home address. Two stepdaughters, Roxanne DeGelormo of Hopewell Junction, and Barbara Allen of Cold Spring and two stepsons, Kenneth Washburn of Dover Plains and Bruce Washburn of Middleburg. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, October 17, 2006, at Our Lady of Loretto Church, Cold Spring, followed by interment at Cold Spring Cemetery. Services were arranged through the Clinton Funeral Home, Cold Spring.
