Young Poets From Haldane Published in Digest
Six Haldane authors had their poetry published in the Young American Poetry Digest 2006. They wrote their poems under the direction of Josiah Peparo, Elementary School Librarian, last year when they were in sixth grade. Mr. Peparo submitted the poems to the publication and they made their selections.
The talented writers are Abbey Furgason with her poem about penguins; Tricia Merritt's
cinquain about cats; Victoria Lebron's cinquain concerning peace; Orianna Pavlik fantasized about travel in her poem; Melina Marinakis wrote about the opposite of light and Anna Ledwith wrote a cinquain about a painter.
Congratulations to Mr. Peparo for inspiring his students and to all of the talented published authors.
