Philipstown Flag Hawks Fall to Beacon

On Sunday October 15th, the Philipstown Flag Hawks traveled to Wappingers Falls to take on a very tough Beacon squad. Beacon came out strong on defense but the Philipstown offensive line of Eddie Joe Barry, Frank Peters, Liam Irwin, Anthony Lombardo, Thomas Percacciolo and Nicholas Telesco showed a lot of discipline pulling Beacon offsides several times on the opening drive.

Philipstown was unable to capitalize however and found themselves in a quick 14-0 hole. A touchdown run from Brandon Hodge following the blocks of Adam Vasi got Philipstown

on the board. Then a two point conversion from quarterback Michael Telesco to Joe D'Eustachio cut the lead to 14- 8.

Philipstown's defense showed a lot of heart against a bigger Beacon team. The group of Nick DiPalo, Luke Junjulas, Michael Champlin, Justin Markey, Tyler Outhouse, Wilson Thorpe, Brandon Twoguns and Louis Weber put consistently put pressure on the offense. However, it wasn't Philipstown's day as they fell with the final score being 26- 8. The Hawks finish their season next Sunday at White Plains.
