 | | The Hognose Snake will be on exhibit at the Museum |
| On Friday, Saturday and Sunday of this Thanksgiving weekend all ages are welcome when the Museum of the Hudson Highlands presents "Meet the Animals: The Snake" at its Boulevard location. Bring along family and friends to meet some of the fascinating snakes that live at the museum. Come learn where the snake gets its name, what kinds of food it eats, how it sheds its skin, and how it adapts to winter.
"Meet the Animals" will be presented at 2:30pm, November 24, 25, and 26 at the Museum of the Hudson Highlands, on the Boulevard, Cornwall-on- Hudson. General open hours are 12-4pm, Fridays - Sundays.
Current exhibits are: the "Hall of Live Animals of the Highlands" a permanent exhibit
including live animals from this area; and "Symbols of New York" an interactive exhibit that introduces the New York State Bird, Mammal, Insect and others. Recently added is the new New York State reptile: "the snapping turtle". A special craft will be available during these special post-Thanksgiving days. If the weather is good, plan to hike the short "familyfriendly" trails.
Meet the Animals is presented throughout the year on Saturday and Sunday at 2:30pm. A different animal is featured each week. General Admission is $3 for ages 2 and older, free for Museum members. For more information, call (845) 534-5506, ext. 204, or visit the Museum website at:
