Evergreen Wreath Workshop at Glynwood Center
Nicole Mora, head gardener at Glynwood Center, will conduct a wreath-making workshop on Saturday, December 2 from 9am until 12:30pm. Working from a 10-inch wire form, attendees will make a wreath from evergreens and other plants gathered at Glynwood. Ribbons and balls will also be available.
Although the vegetative materials will already have been gathered, Ms. Mora will, during a walk through the Glynwood grounds, show how to collect such items as rosehips, winter holly, evergreens, seed pods, and juniper
berries. She will also point out plants that should not be used. The walk, which will last about an hour, will leave promptly at 9:15 from the office building, where coffee and cake will be available at 8:45. After the walk, the structural concept of making a wreath will be explained, the process will be demonstrated, and attendees will make their own to take home.
The workshop fee is $60 and attendance is limited to 10. To register, please call Anita Barber at 265-3338.
