Putnam Hospital Center Receives American College of Radiology Accreditation

As a result of recent surveys conducted by the American College of Radiology (ACR), Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel is proud to announce that it has been awarded accreditation in ultrasound imaging, computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (NM) services. The prestigious ACR accreditation is awarded to those facilities who demonstrate the achievement of high practice standards following a voluntary peer-review evaluation.

ACR evaluations are designed to assess the qualifications of the personnel and the adequacy of the facility equipment and are conducted by

board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. Putnam Hospital Center, a 164-bed nonprofit acute care facility, underwent the intense accreditation process to demonstrate its commitment to quality patient care.

The American College of Radiology is a national organization serving more than 32,000 diagnosticinterventional radiologists, radiation oncologists and nuclear medicine and medical physicists with programs focusing on the practice of medical imaging and radiation oncology and the delivery of comprehensive health care services.
