folk scene, Dar Williams is famed for her evocative tunes and angelic voice, being compared to Joni Mitchell and Joan Baez. Stereo-type Magazine says "Dar Williams may be the best female singer/ songwriter in America today." On Dar's latest album, "My Better Self," she emphasizes the notion that everything we do in our lives, especially the good things, resonates all over the world. She sings, "Every time you open to kindness, make one connection used to divide us, it echoes all over the world." Expanding on this theme, Dar will take center stage to benefit the children in her community.
Gandalf Murphy and the Slambovian Circus of Dreams were voted "best unsigned band" by Hudson Valley AFM. The Slambovians were featured recently in Relix Magazine, the New York Times and on the CBS hit show, Joan of Arcadia. The band's charismatic live performances and whimsical blend of folk, rock, hillbilly and pop simply captivate audiences and critics alike. The group
consists of Joziah Longo, singer/songwriter, guitarist and the leader of the band; Tink Lloyd, on accordion, cello, and flute; Sharkey McEwen on guitar, mandolin and backing vocals; and drummer Tony Zuzulo. Chronogram described a Bottom Line, NYC concert as "A riveting, mesmerizing, crazy, amazing machine of music."
