Philipstown Flag Hawks Drop Season Finale

On Sunday, November 05, 2006 the Philipstown Flag Football Hawks hosted the Giants from Wappingers in their final game of the season. Philipstown got things going early by moving the ball on their opening drive behind the play calling of quarterback Michael Telesco. Adam Vasi had some strong runs and Brandon Hodge broke off a long touchdown run to give Philipstown an early 6- 0 lead. The running game was made possible by the upfront blocking of Eddie Joe Barry, Joe D'Eustachio, Liam Irwin, Anthony Lombardo, Nicholas Telesco and Frank Peters.

Things were looking good for Philipstown as they were able to shut down the Wappingers

offense behind strong defensive efforts from Nick DiPalo, Brandon Twoguns and Tyler Outhouse. When Philipstown got the ball back they marched down the field but weren't able to capitalize, with their drive stalling on the 10-yard line. Wappingers was able to get a long touchdown run to tie things up on their next possession. Another touchdown late in the first half gave Wappingers a 14- 6 at halftime.

Philipstown wasn't able to get anything going in the second half and fell behind 20-6. The Hawks played hard but this wasn't to be their day. They had a great season and look forward to next year.
