Mighty Mite Hawks End Season with Decisive Win

On Sunday Nov. 5 the Philipstown Mighty Mite Hawks defeated the Wappinger Falls Giants 13-0. The Giants played a solid game. However the Hawks were up to the challenge. Both the offensive and defensive units played well as the mite's put forward their best efforts of the season_

The offensive unit consisting of Matt Balducci, Tyler Giachinta, Ryan McCollum, Sachin Sanmugaraja, Kelly Vahos, Blake Cohen, Matt Koval Anthony Percacciolo, Nick Allen, Jarred Reyes, Connor Allen, Eric Rizzi, and Alec Vasi combined for 220 yards of total offense. The Hawks' ground game controlled the ball for much of the game and touch down runs from McCollum and Cohen put them up 13-0. The defensive unit also played a great game. Timely tackling kept the giants off balance for much of the game. Brandon Rucker, Kurt Jorgensen, Brooke Vahos, Thomas D'Eustachio, Nick Allen, Sachin Sanmugaraja, Matt Balducci, Alec Vasi and Eric Rizzi fought hard to shut-out the Giants. Matt Koval led the way for the Mite Defense with twelve tackles.

The Hawks finished the season with a record of 3-2-2. Congratulations from the coaches to all the players for a great season!
