Chanukah Party and January Yiddish Classes hosted by Beacon Hebrew Alliance
Beacon Hebrew Alliance (BHA) will hold its annual Chanukah party on Sunday, December 17 at 11am. The party will include delicious homemade latkes, a children's craft, games, a brief skit, and goody bags. This year, Philipstown's own Judy and Noel Kropf will teach Israeli Folk Dancing! The party is free and open to all.
It's not a long schlep to Beacon to attend the six week Beginning Yiddish course offered at Beacon Hebrew Alliance (BHA) beginning January 3rd. The course will be offered on six consecutive Wednesday
nights from 6-7 pm and will be taught by Nachman Kamlot, Yiddish instructor at Vassar College and throughout the Hudson Valley. This fun, informal course will include basic vocabulary, grammar, jokes, songs and stories, and is open to all. Cost is $75 for nonmembers.
BHA is a Conservative egalitarian synagogue located at 331 Verplanck Ave., Beacon (at the corner of Fishkill Ave.) For more information contact Jamie Abrams at 845-737-0529 or email Briard88@aol.com.
