Franciscan Friars to Celebrate the Holy Family
The Franciscan Friars of the Atonement will be holding a Family Luncheon in honor of the Solemnity of the Holy Family following Sunday Eucharist on December 31, 2006. Sunday Eucharist will take place at 11am in Pilgrim Hall and the Luncheon will begin at 12:30pm in the Friars’ Dining Room, 5th floor at Graymoor Spiritual Life Center.
Reservations are required; please call 424-2111 by December 27. The cost for the lunch is $10 per adult, $6 per child.
After lunch, all are invited to visit the Christmas Around the World Exhibit featuring 100 crèches from Hong Kong, Africa, Asia, the Middle-East,
North and South America, and Europe. The exhibit is free and will be on display until January 8, 2007.
The Franciscan Friars of the Atonement are a religious order of brothers and priests founded at Graymoor in 1898 by Father Paul Wattson. Their worldwide ministries include Christian unity; interfaith dialogue among Christians, Jews, Muslims, and Buddhists; serving the homeless and those suffering from alcoholism, drug addictions, and HIV/AIDS; preaching the gospel in parishes around the world, and offering respite and hope at their Spiritual Life Center to those in need of spiritual renewal
