Governor Pataki Visits With Rick Valentine in Iraq

New York State Governor Pataki recently visited the soldiers of the 411th Engineer Brigade, Stewart/Newburgh NY at their compound on LSA Anaconda, Balad, Iraq. Governor Pataki, along with New Jersey Governor Corzine, Oregon’s Governor Kulongski and Utah’s Governor Huntsman met with the unit’s commander, Brigadier General Silva and the troops of the 411th to get a first hand look at the specialized route clearing equipment used by the Engineers while deployed in Iraq.
Governors Pataki and Corzine spent several hours with the members of the 411th Engineers which included lunch at a military dining facility.
