Talk of the Town

Toys for Tots were picked up at the PCN&R offices on Tuesday. There was an extraordinary amount of donations this year and we heard the same was true at the other drop off spots. Thanks to all that gave to this worthy cause.

Don’t forget, the Food Pantry at the First Presbyterian Church takes donations of more than just food items - toys, coats, etc. are also warmly welcomed. Call 265-3220 for more info.

The PCN&R’s offices will be closed on Monday, Christmas Day and the following Monday, New Year’s Day. Please note that our deadline will be on Friday, December 22 and 29 respectively.

Our editor has a sister, Katie O’Donnell, who was born on December 20, and she always complained about being “gypped” out of presents because of the proximity of her birthday to the holidays. Well, to all who suffer the same fate of timing, we offer an extra special congratulations. They include: Amee Lunn, Anna Ledwith, David Hustis, Fran Rudinski, Peter Roth, Mary Levine, Sam Brooks, Mary D. Finch Haskell, Ann Giacopsello, Earl Goldstein, Earl O’Dell, Melisa Carton, Helen Van Tassel, Danny Roth and Roy Kannenberg.
