Mieczyslaw “Mike” Dul

Mieczyslaw “Mike” Dul, 87, of Fishkill, formerly of Manchester, CT, died Thursday, December 14, 2006, at the Bronx VA Hospital. He was born April 2, 1919 in Haverhill, MA, and was the son of the late Michael and Mary Stroz Dul.

Mike was a veteran of the Army Air Force, serving during WW II. He was employed by the U.S.Government as an immigration officer until his retirement. He was also retired from the Border Patrol and was a mechanic, having owned a gas station in Massachusetts for several years.

He was a communicant of St. Mary Mother of the Church in Fishkill and was a member of the American Legion in Beacon. For over 15 years, he volunteered at the VA Hospital at Castle Point and was a member of the computer club at Castle Point.

On November 14, 1957, he married Theresa Eberhardt at St. Steven’s of Hungary Church in Manhattan. Mrs. Dul survives at home. Beside his wife, he is survived by two sons, Anthony Manley and his wife, Betty, of Kingston and Mitchell Dul and his wife, Amy, of Nelsonville; four grandchildren, Tess & Henry Dul and T.J. and William Manley. He was predeceased by two brothers, Edward “Bucky” Dul and Broneslaw “Bronco” Dul.

Calling hours were held on Sunday, December 17th at the Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Home, 1028 Main St., Fishkill, followed by a funeral service. A military honor guard service followed at 5pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Haverhill, Massachusetts, at a later date.
