Glynwood Center Seeks Applicants for 2007 Organic Gardening & Marketing Internship
The Glynwood Center is seeking applicants for this internship, which runs from February 15 through December 15. The work hours are Tuesday - Saturday, 7:30am - 3:30pm, except Wednesday, which extends to 6:00pm to accommodate CSA pickup.
The experience includes seed sowing and transplanting in the greenhouse, seed bed preparation and seed sowing in the gardens, planting staking, washing trays and pots, composting, watering, harvesting, pruning, organic fertilizing
and pest control, flower sales at local farmers’ market and facilitating CSA pickup.
Compensation: salary $1,000/month, onsite living in intern cottage, 1 dozen eggs per week and 1/2 bushel of produce per week for the cottage. Requirements include your own car and the expectation of being constantly engaged in physical activity.
